infoGROUP Names McCusker to New Executive Position
OMAHA, Neb.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 7, 2008--infoGROUP (NASDAQ: IUSA), the leading provider of proprietary business and consumer databases, sales leads, direct marketing, email marketing, market research and global information solutions, has named Thomas J. McCusker its Executive Vice President for Business Conduct and General Counsel. In this role, he will be responsible for the legal affairs of the Company as well as compliance with new corporate governance controls adopted by the Company in connection with recent litigation. He will be based in Omaha and will report to infoGROUP's Chairman of the Board, Bernie Reznicek. In addition, he will be working closely with infoGROUP's Chief Executive Officer, Bill Fairfield.
McCusker will join the Company in December 2008 from Mutual of Omaha, where he has served for 14 years as Executive Vice President and General Counsel. Prior to joining Mutual of Omaha, he was a partner at the law firm of Kutak Rock. He began his legal career at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York City. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Notre Dame School of Law in 1969.

The position of EVP for Business Conduct and General Counsel was created in conjunction with the conclusion of an internal investigation and the settlement of shareholder derivative litigation in July 2008. At that time, the Company appointed John Longwell, its general counsel and corporate secretary since November 2006, as Acting EVP for Business Conduct and General Counsel. Mr. Longwell, who is based in Washington, D.C., has worked with the Board and new management to implement sweeping governance changes and to eliminate certain expenses associated with the former CEO. Mr. Longwell will remain with the Company to assist in the transition of the position to Mr. McCusker at the Company's Omaha headquarters.
